Baby Wrabel on the Way!

With grateful hearts and joy in the Lord, we are delighted to share that we are expecting our first child, a baby boy, this winter. Two years ago, we were joined together in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony, and since then, God has continued to pour out blessings upon our life together.

This past year has been especially exciting. We purchased our first home at the end of August and have spent the time since then lovingly transforming it into a place where our faith and family will flourish. Our house has been under construction as we repaint, remodel, and update rooms to make it truly feel like home. John has worked tirelessly every night and weekend to prepare the space, and his parents have generously given up their own evenings and weekends to lend helping hands with the remodel. Their dedication and love have been a beautiful witness to the strength of family bonds.

At the same time, it has been a busy season professionally and personally. Brittany is in the midst of the fall sports season, working long evenings and weekends covering games, but looking forward to a slower pace as the season winds down. With joy, I anticipate turning my energy toward “nesting” and preparing for Baby Wrabel’s arrival soon enough!

Though our days are full and often hectic, John and I know this is a season of grace. We are thankful for the support of our families and remain in awe of the great gift of life that God has entrusted to us.

As we prepare to welcome our first son into the world, We ask for your prayers. We pray that our child may grow in health and in faith, that our home may always be filled with love, and that, as parents, we may be strengthened to raise our son in the knowledge of Christ.

“Children are a gift from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” (Psalm 127:3)

Happy New Year!

Here’s to welcoming 2024!

Dear Family and Friends,

As we bid farewell to 2023, we wanted to take a moment to share with you the whirlwind of events that made this year truly special for us - The Wrabels!

The year kicked off with both of us immersed in our respective endeavors. I, embarked on a new adventure as an athletic trainer at a small all-girls school, adding a side gig with a semi-professional soccer team. The days were packed with planning our dream wedding, from crafting welcome boxes to designing our own newspaper and everything in between.

Meanwhile, John was tirelessly working at an electrical switchgear company, burning the midnight oil to hit the books in the evenings. The love and dedication poured into every detail of our wedding were palpable, and we owe a huge thank you to John's family for their invaluable help with invitations, wax stamps, and more. Thanks go out to my Mom and Grandma for supplying the beautiful welcome boxes for our hotel guests on wedding weekend.

July 22nd, 2023 marked the day we became The Wrabels, and I officially earned the title of a "Wrabe Babe." The wedding day was nothing short of magical, with every moment cherished and shared with our nearest and dearest.

Honeymoon plans were momentarily shelved when John got into a Master's Program just days before the wedding. His resounding "yes" led us into a whirlwind of apartment hunting and moving within two weeks. As John delved into his studies at Marian University in Indianapolis, I wrapped up my commitments in our hometown.

The next few months saw us navigating a long-distance marriage, with weekend trips bridging the gap until November when I made the move to Indy. Finally reunited, we embraced the next chapter of our lives together.

My career took an unexpected turn as I joined IU Health in an Orthopedic Trauma Clinic, where every day brings new and exhilarating challenges. John's accelerated studies demanded a different kind of schedule, and we learned to balance our time, especially with my regular work hours.

Christmas was a heartwarming reunion back in Cleveland, followed by a thrilling New Year celebration in Las Vegas. These moments of joy were a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of wedding planning and the rollercoaster that was 2023.

As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with gratitude for the blessings, the love of family and friends, and the journey we've embarked on together. Here's to an incredible 2023 and the many more adventures that await us in the years to come.

Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and a fantastic start to the new year!

With love, Brittany, John and Penelope - The Wrabels
